Consultation on the digital statement of principles – the “European way” for the digital society.

As a follow-up to the Communication on the digital compass, this initiative proposes a set of principles which should define the “European way” for the digital society.

The aim is to inform people and provide a reference for policy makers and digital operators in their actions in the digital environment.

The initiative proposes to include these principles in a joint interinstitutional solemn declaration of the European Parliament, the Council and the Commission.
