Financial startups, mirror of the activity of individuals and companies, are also suffering the full brunt of the economic consequences of the health crisis and the containment measures. For the moment, they are showing agility and none of them has gone out of business, but some of these young companies, fragile by nature, could be carried away by the wave of the coronavirus. As with all startups, investor reluctance is very problematic.

After an excellent 2019 vintage and booming investments, the French finance startups, known as fintech, started 2020 on the hats of wheels with significant fundraising led by foreign investors from renowned as the Chinese Tencent. But the sector, like so many others, is not immune to the economic consequences of the health crisis linked to the coronavirus.
