[EBA consultation] Service providers on digital assets and LCB-FT
The European Banking Authority (EBA) has launched a consultation on the changes to be made to guidelines on anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism supervision risk-based for'include future crypto-asset service providers (CASPs), status resulting from the MiCA Regulation.
Due to the cross-border nature of crypto-asset services, the EBA considers it crucial standardize standards across the single market. The amendments include guidance on the sources of information that competent authorities should take into account when assessing the risks of money laundering and terrorist financing. In addition, they emphasize the importance of consistency of supervision between competent authorities and emphasize the need to train staff.
