Fintech: France remains the leading market in the European Union with 919 million euros raised in 2023

France FinTech, the professional association of French fintechs, insurtechs and regtechs, publishes the 2023 report of the fintech ecosystem. There are now 1000 of them, ten times more than in 2015. According to the results, in 2023, they raised 919 million euros, a drop of 70% compared to the year previous and a level equivalent to that of 2020. This contraction, in line with the European (-68%) and global (-61%) trends, reflects a certain wait-and-see attitude among investors in a more tense economic context.
