Finyear partners with the first Fintech Cup – the European fintech regatta

From October 6 to 8, 2023, La Trinité-sur-Mer (Morbihan) will host the first Fintech Cup. A unique regatta in Europe in which 15 to 20 Grand-Surprises sailboats will participate, operated by Fintech leaders, their guests and their skipper.

Organized by Azulli, the consulting firm specializing in supporting Fintech, the event with a unifying vocation as a charity, is sponsored by Finance Innovation, France Fintech and, Finyear for the media part.

"We want to promote a real team spirit within Fintechs in Europe and, what better than sailing to federate and convey the values ​​of mutual aid, performance and commitment" says Laurent de Bernède, CEO of Azulli. at the origin of the project.
In collaboration with the Société Nautique de la Trinité-sur-Mer (56), the regatta is thus positioned as the only sporting event with a European dimension in the Fintech sector. By 2024, more than 30 boats led by Fintechs from all over Europe should take the start.

The sports program is made up of three days of Grand-Surprise one-design regattas, with so-called “banana” courses around buoys moored in the bay of Quiberon by the Société Nautique de la Trinité-sur-Mer.
Friday October 6, a morning of training will allow the crews to practice their manoeuvres, before taking the start for a few qualifying heats for the classification in the afternoon.
Saturday October 7 will be a full day of racing around the buoys, and weather permitting, a coastal course will be organised. After an evening stretching, for some, late into the night, new races will be launched on Sunday morning before returning to port for lunch ashore followed by the prize giving.

On land, the entertainment will be marked by the presence of an ocean racing star who will share his experience during the "ocean racing dinner" on Friday evening, October 6, and by the "fintech evening" on Saturday, October 7, evening. .

A EUROPEAN SPORTS AND CORPORATE EVENT WITH A CHARITY DIMENSION

In addition to its sporting & friendly dimension, the Fintech Cup is committed to philanthropy in favor of the Brain Institute (ICM).
“A corporate event makes it possible to convey important values ​​to a large number of people and to give meaning to one's profession by committing to a cause. And, it was particularly important to me to support Olivier Goy, founder and CEO of October, who faces the disease with very inspiring courage, in his efforts to raise funds for research on Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS or of Charcot)”.

A donation of €60 will be donated to the ICM per participant in the regatta. A charity raffle sponsored by Olivier Goy will be organized during the event.

Invincible summer, a documentary directed by Stéphanie Pillonca on disability with the participation of Olivier Goy, the profits of which will be donated to the ICM, will be released in theaters on May 31, 2023.

Crews must register before the end of February and different formulas are offered to sponsors on the occasion of the Fintech Cup. The “Title Partner” pack, the “Offshore Race Dinner” on October 6 and/or the “Fintech Evening” on October 7.
