Paris, September 20, 2022

France FinTech, the association that represents and federates fintech entrepreneurs in France and abroad, announces the programming of FinTech R:Evolution, the reference event of the French ecosystem, which will take place next Thursday, October 20 on the roof of the Grande Arche | La Défense and will have as its theme CROSSROADS.

FinTech R:Evolution • #FFT22 • CROSSROADS will bring together nearly 1 people with various profiles (entrepreneurs, decision-makers, investors, journalists, regulators, researchers, influencers, politicians, etc.). Everyone will be gathered around a unique experience: 500 plenary stages, 3 sets of entrepreneurs and speed meetings

The six previous editions have made FinTech R:Evolution the unmissable annual event for innovative finance, thanks to a selection of strategic themes and leading speakers in all fields. FinTech R:Evolution also stands out for its emphasis on debates and a great freedom of tone.

In particular, the following are expected: Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister Delegate in charge of the Digital Transition and Telecommunications; Denis Beau, First Deputy Governor of the Banque de France; Nicolas Dufourcq, CEO of Bpifrance; Changpeng Zhao, Founder and CEO of Binance, Marie Ekeland, Founder of 2050; Éléna Poincet, founder and CEO of Tehtris; Pascal Gauthier, CEO of Ledger; Claire Calmejane, Chief Innovation Officer of Société Générale; Cyril Chiche, co-founder and CEO of Lydia; Sébastien Borget, founder and COO of The Sandbox; and many other personalities from the world of entrepreneurship and research.

The 2022 edition comes at a pivotal moment in our (young) history and in a particularly uncertain economic environment ; two circumstances that make reflection indispensable and stimulating.

Our companies are experiencing a phase of strong acceleration in their development, which is reflected in a record level of fundraising in the first half (2 billion euros), a real internationalization of their model and massive recruitments at the scale of our ecosystem. French fintech is now the second in Europe and the first tech sector in France.

At the same time, the cumulative effect of the conflict in Ukraine and its consequences on energy in particular, of inflation which has reached levels not seen for almost 40 years, of the rise in interest rates and the marked drop in Valuations of technology companies create a climate of marked uncertainty. This contrasting situation leads players to show increased caution in their spending policy, a search for securing funding, but also to seize the opportunities for consolidation that such circumstances offer. This period of crossroads, intense and exciting, promises us a rich event and lively debates.

Through panels, cross-examinations, interviews, keynotes, pitches and demonstration terminals, more than 80 experts and 300 startups, start-ups, scale-ups and unicorns will share their experiences, innovations, vision and analysis. A real dive into the heart of the problems of the sector allowing to question the evolution of our economic and societal environment, technologies, uses or even professions.
