Paris, July 16th 2024

France FinTech, the professional association of French fintech, insurtech and regtech, publishes the half-yearly report of the sector and announces the theme of the 9th edition of its annual FinTech R:Evolution event • #FFT24 • which will take place this year on Thursday October 17 at La Maison de la Mutualité, Paris. This 2024 edition will be called PATHS OF TRUST.

A recovery compared to the previous period.

French fintechs carried out 50 equity fundraising operations in the first half of 2024 for a total of €560 million. Even if the market is far from having returned to its record level of 2022 and the decline is insufficient, this amount could demonstrate a certain recovery.

Mergers and acquisitions activity was once again very strong this half-year and majority stakes taken by Private Equity funds continue.
The share of foreign investors has grown significantly. The use of crowdfunding or debt is increasing.

The number of French fintechs is now stable.
Analysis of activity shows continued growth in fintech turnover.
Mixed commercial distribution models (direct + via partnerships) occupy a growing proportion.

Overall, these observations confirm the access to maturity of the ecosystem.

The challenges of this period are nonetheless numerous and complex. More than ever, the central issue is trust. This is the theme chosen for the 9th edition of FinTech R:Evolution • #FFT24 • “Path of Trust,” which will be held on Thursday, October 17th at La Maison de la Mutualité.

FinTech R:Evolution has become the leading annual event for innovative finance , thanks to its selection of strategic themes and top-tier speakers across all sectors. Featuring numerous conferences, discussions, and debates led by renowned speakers, this day will offer the 2000 expected participants a comprehensive overview of the major challenges facing the sector. More than 350 fintech, insurtech, and regtech companies will share their experiences, innovations, vision, and analysis .
