France Fintech supports the creation of a Fintech sector at the ESILV engineering school

March 7, 2016 | Press Releases

Supporting training means shaping our future.

Fintech entrepreneurs are designing the finance of tomorrow in a world they hope is more connected, more transparent and adjusted to user needs. To build this world, they surround themselves with talents who, through their energy, their imagination and their new knowledge, help them to innovate and to respond ever better to uses.

Training nourishes this pool of talent on which these entrepreneurs rely to build their businesses and which is their primary resource.

In a France which is struggling to promote its attractiveness, retain and attract talent, France Fintech supports entrepreneurs in their recruitment efforts. Our country can rely on an exceptional pool of know-how in finance and mathematics-engineering, which must now be dedicated to these new, rapidly developing professions.

This is why we can only welcome the creation of a FinTech sector within the ESILV engineering school, a member of the Conférence des Grandes Écoles. Today, nearly 1 students are enrolled at ESILV and 300 are taking the major in financial engineering. Almost 200% of ESILV students then find work in the finance sector: this is the highest rate of integration in this sector. From the start of the next school year, 40th year students who have chosen this major will now have the choice of taking Fintech courses which will cover the teaching of web and mobile development, payment systems, networks and protocols, the history of currency and digital currency.

We salute ESILV's commitment, which is adaptable and understands today's digital issues to better teach finance to entrepreneurs and collaboration in this new sector of excellence.
