Alain Clot, President of France FinTech unveils the outlook for the French fintech sector in 2022. An article published in Libération !

“2021 was a very good year with 2,3 billion euros raised by fintech (an increase of 174% compared to 2020). Does this sign the final flight of French fintech?

The year 2021 is part of a series in which fundraising more than doubles every year. The pandemic period has not marked a break in the development of operations. In most segments, we even saw an acceleration due to the widespread adoption of digital. I have little doubt that this positive trend will continue. The beginning of the year 2022 also proves us right on this point since the month of January was very sustained.

It is true that the fundamentals are good: financing is now available (which was not the case before) and consumer demand for innovative applications is growing strongly.

To give you two examples, a third of French people aged 18 to 35 use the Lydia payment service and Ledger's physical wallets for cryptocurrencies are sold all over the world. »
