Paris, le 27 janvier 2021

In the continuation of the year 2020 which will have enabled French fintech, insurance and regtech to show their resilience, France FinTech, the professional association of the sector, Le Swave, the first French start-up accelerator dedicated to financial services, the ACPR and the AMF announce the creation of the French FinTech Week, a full week of events, to be held from October 11 to October 15, 2021.

Financial innovation is going through a decisive stage in its development. In a context marked by an economic crisis which increases competition between traditional establishments, fintech and bigtech on a global scale, innovation is stimulated both by the development of new uses and the desire for innovative services on the part of of consumers, technological advances in data processing, and by building an appropriate regulatory framework. In order to meet the many challenges involved in this period, a multidisciplinary reflection bringing together all the stakeholders constitutes an opportunity to strengthen the strengths of the Paris market.

Organized by the supervisors, an association representing the interests of entrepreneurs and an accelerator of international dimension, the French FinTech Week will make it possible in particular to discover the supervision systems put in place during the ACPR and AMF Fintech Forum, with the support of the Banque de France, to visit the European FinTech Hub, the extension of the Swave acceleration program over 5 m² which will open at the end of the year, to participate in half a day dedicated to financing start-ups, to meet the most active fintechs and major groups in the sector and to discuss the structuring trends of this sector during the benchmark event Fintech R: Evolution.

As such, the organizers are also launching a call to all the players in their ecosystem to come forward to them by May 30th to integrate the programming of this week of events aimed at strengthening regional attractiveness and placing Paris at the heart of financial innovation in Europe.
