Fintechs strike back after banks charge against open banking
The France Fintech association, which represents the interests of the sector, is surprised and regrets the recent exit of the new president of the French Banking Federation against open banking, which allows banking data to be opened to third parties. And recalls that the alliance between banks and fintech is essential to counter in particular the offensive of the Gafa.
The answer was not long in coming. Two days after the charge of the new president of the French Banking Federation (FBF) against “open banking”, finance start-ups are fighting back.
In a column published this Thursday by the France Fintech association, which wants to be the voice of the sector, and that "Les Echos" were able to consult, they recall that "fintech are not the problem, but an element of the solution, including for the banks which demonstrate it every day by working with them ”. And regret the remarks made by Nicolas Théry, in the "Echoes" , which "take [the financial sector] back several years."
