FRENCH DIGITAL FINANCE SHOWS ITS AMBITIONS

Paris, June 11, 2015 - Thirty-six companies in the French “Fintech” sector have decided to come together in an association that can federate and represent them: France Fintech.

This new association aims to welcome all companies using innovative and disruptive operational, technological or economic models, aimed at dealing with existing or emerging issues in the financial services industry.

The French FinTech sector is particularly dynamic, comprising an already dense network of young companies covering the entire spectrum of financial services: banking, insurance, investment, asset management, payments, advice, etc.

Fintechs in the United States and Great Britain in particular have already federated their ecosystem in order to give it global visibility. France, a historic land of innovation in the sector, had to promote its main assets: its most innovative startups. This is the ambition of France Fintech.

For Axelle Lemaire, Secretary of State in charge of Digital, “ Lhe challenges facing the financial industry are those of our entire economy. For this industry to be a player in the digital revolution, we need simplicity, trust and resolute support for start-ups and French innovation. The government also needs the sector to structure itself. This is the whole point of the creation of the France Fintech association, which I welcome. "

Michel Sapin, Minister of Finance and Public Accounts, also welcomes the creation of this association: " Fintech is a major stake for the development of innovative financial services for all; consumers have a vested interest in seeing new players pushing established players in the financial sector ».

“The French have recognized talents in finance and mathematics-engineering. It is not surprising that the marriage of the two know-how, Fintech becomes one of their areas of excellence. French Fintechs are increasingly establishing themselves in the national and international landscape. Their new importance, their successes, the emergence of specific subjects made it necessary to create an association. It is now done " explains Alain Clot, president of the France Fintech association.

The main missions of France Fintech will therefore be as follows:

  • Promote French FinTech in France and abroad,
  • Represent the sector to public authorities, the media, investors, historical players in the financial sector, research centers, etc.
  • Share experience, knowledge and information within the community,
  • Ensure relations with other associations of the digital sector in France and abroad.

Chaired by Alain Clot, the France Fintech association will be led by a steering committee made up of 7 members (Benoît Bazzocchi, Cyril Chiche, Olivier Goy, Jonathan Herscovici, Céline Lazorthes, Nicolas Marchandise, Cédric Teissier).

The following companies are founding members of the association: Advize, Alphametry, Alternativa, Anatec, Bankin, Bolden, Credit.fr, Early Metrics, EosVenture, Evollis, Finance Active, Finexkap, Fluo, France Barter, FundShop, Infotrie Financial Solutions, Invivoo Software, Kantox, Ledger, Leetchi, Lendix, Lendosphere, Lingua Custodia, Linxo, Lydia Solutions, Pandat, Paymium, PayTop, Prêt d'Union, Prexem, ScaledRisk, Slimpay, Smart Angel, Smile & Pay, The Assets, Yomoni.
