Fintechs turn their backs and hope for better days

The studies follow one another, and are not necessarily similar, but the trends remain. So, yes, this year for Fintechs (and for tech and businesses in general, for that matter), the context has become tense and even sharper. Gone are the days of “easy money” and fundraising bidding wars.
According to the study conducted by L'Observatoire de la Fintech in partnership with Mastercard, KPMG and eToro, the Fintech ecosystem in France today includes 475 companies bringing together 9 professions.
In total, over the year, these players raised 136 funds for a cumulative amount of 1,1 billion euros compared to 2,5 billion in 2022. That is, a drop, according to this study, of 57%.
