European Commission consultation - Sustainable finance

Following the 2018 Action Plan on financing sustainable growth, the European Commission launched a new consultation in April 2020, in order to build the next stages of its strategy and implement a European "Green Deal".

The aim of the consultation is to identify the views and opinions of the various stakeholders. All citizens, member states and organizations are invited to participate. This includes in particular insurance companies, asset managers, financial advisers, etc. 

As part of this consultation, a round table was organized on May 27, 2020: “How can digital finance support sustainability? ». The following topics were discussed, among others: the potential of digital tools for mainstreaming sustainability in the financial sector, accessibility and transparency of sustainability data, the use of digital tools for co-financing of public projects, greening fintech.

The European Commission invites digital finance players from all the Member States to participate in the consultation, in order to provide food for thought and suggest avenues for development.
